EICTA Academy Council

The E&ICT Academy Council serves as the apex advisory body, guiding the academy’s activities and offerings. It includes all Chief Investigators (CI) and Co-CIs of the E&ICT Academies who provide strategic direction to align the academy’s initiatives with national goals.

Prof. R. B. V. Subramanyam

Dr. R.B.V. Subramanyam (RBS) is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, India. With over 17 years of teaching and research experience, he specializes in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Fuzzy Data Mining. He holds a PhD and MTech from IIT Kharagpur, ranking second in his MTech class. Dr. Subramanyam has authored several impactful publications in data mining and pattern recognition.

Prof. R. B. V. Subramanyam

Dr. R.B.V. Subramanyam (RBS) is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, India. Prof. Vineet Sahula

Prof. Vineet Sahula is Professor (HAG) in Electronics & Communication Engineering at MNIT Jaipur, where he also serves as Dean of Digital Infrastructure & Services. With over two decades of academic leadership, he specializes in Electronic Design Automation, cognitive architectures, and probabilistic modeling. A PhD and MTech alumnus of IIT Delhi, Prof. Sahula has played key roles in national initiatives like the Electronics & ICT Academy and centralized MTech admissions. He is deeply involved in research, education, and policy shaping in higher technical education.

Prof. Gaurav Trivedi

Prof. Gaurav Trivedi is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at IIT Guwahati and Principal Investigator of the E&ICT Academy and Daksh Gurukul initiatives. With a PhD in Microelectronics from IIT Bombay and industry experience at Siemens EDA and Cadence, he bridges advanced VLSI research and hands-on technology development. His expertise spans algorithms, embedded systems, ASIC/FPGA design, and EDA tools. Prof. Trivedi has over a decade of experience in academia, research leadership, and capacity building in emerging tech domains.

Prof. Aparajita Ojha

Prof. Aparajita Ojha, Professor of Computer Science at IIITDM Jabalpur, has over 37 years of experience and was the institute’s Director (2009-2015). Her expertise includes machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and blockchain. As Chief Investigator for MeiTY, she has trained 11,000+ college teachers and now leads a project empowering girls in IT across Asia. She holds a PhD in Mathematical Sciences and certifications in blockchain and deep learning.

Dr. Bharat Gupta

Prof. Bharat Gupta, SMIEEE, is a Professor at NIT Patna and Principal Investigator at its Incubation Centre. With a PhD in Wireless Communication from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, his research focuses on WBAN, IoMT, and telemedicine. He has over two decades of academic experience and is widely published in wireless health networks and biomedical applications. His work blends advanced simulations, AI, and game theory for reliability in next-gen sensor networks.

Dr. Sanjeev Manhas

Prof. Sanjeev Manhas is a Professor of ECE at IIT Roorkee, specializing in semiconductors, VLSI, and nanoelectronics. He leads the MeitY-funded E&ICT Academy and serves as Faculty-in-Charge at TIDES, IIT Roorkee’s business incubator. With prior R&D roles at Micron and IME Singapore, he brings extensive industry and academic experience in memory technologies, CMOS reliability, and device simulations. He holds a PhD in Microelectronics from De Montfort University and an M.Tech from IIT Madras.

Dr. Balwinder Singh

Dr. Balwinder Singh is Joint Director and Head at C-DAC Mohali, with over 15 years of experience in VLSI design, embedded systems, and electronics R&D. He leads the Academic Consultancy & Services Division (ACSD), managing M.Tech programs in VLSI, Embedded Systems, and Product Design. A Ph.D. from Guru Nanak Dev University, he has held previous roles as a Design Engineer at C-DAC and Lecturer at SBBSIET. His expertise includes simulations, MEMS, Matlab, and educational technology.

Magesh Ethirajan

Magesh Ethirajan is the Director General of C-DAC, leading key national missions in Supercomputing, Microprocessor Development, AI, Cybersecurity, Quantum, and Next-Gen Computing. With over 30 years of expertise in VLSI, SoC design, and chip development, he has driven the creation of 25+ ASICs, including India's indigenous RISC-V VEGA processors and THEJAS SoCs. He also holds additional charge as DG of C-MET, advancing technologies in semiconductors, quantum materials, and e-waste recycling, contributing to AatmaNirbhar Bharat and Digital India.
