This committee is responsible for advising on academic and administrative matters of E&ICT Academy, IIT Kanpur, ensuring the academy’s programs meet quality standards. It reviews curricula, training methodologies, and collaborates with stakeholders for continuous improvement.
Dr. Amey Karkare
Professor, Computer Science and Engineering
Dr. Amey Karkare is the Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at IIT Kanpur. He specializes in program analysis, compiler optimizations, and software engineering. Dr. Karkare is the creator of Prutor, a programming tutoring system. He has also held key roles in industry with Synopsys, Microsoft Research, and SAP Labs.
Dr. Amey Karkare

Dr. Arnab Bhattacharya
Professor, Computer Science and Engineering
Prof. Arnab Bhattacharya is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur. His research focuses on databases, data mining, information retrieval, and AI, with applications in legal domains and ancient texts. He has expertise in graph querying, high-dimensional indexing, text mining, and Indian language processing. An experienced educator, Prof. Bhattacharya has taught various courses on data mining, database indexing, and biocomputing.
Dr. Aparajitha Ojha
Professor, Computer Science and Engineering
Dr. Aparajita Ojha is a Professor of Computer Science at IIITDM Jabalpur with over 37 years of experience in academia and research. She specializes in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and blockchain technologies. As the former Director of IIITDM (2009-2015), she has led significant initiatives, including training over 11,000 college teachers as Chief Investigator for MeiTY. Currently, she leads a project focused on empowering girls in IT across Asia.
Dr. Ketan Rajawat
Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering
Dr. Ketan Rajawat is an Associate Professor at IIT Kanpur, with a B.Tech and M.Tech from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. His research expertise spans signal processing, robotics, and communication networks, focusing on distributed optimization algorithms in machine learning and smart grids. He serves as a Senior Area Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. Dr. Rajawat has received prestigious awards, including the 2018 INSA Medal for Young Scientists and the 2019 INAE Young Engineer Award.
Dr. Ankush Sharma
Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering
Dr. Ankush Sharma is a seasoned expert in power systems and smart grids with 24 years of experience in teaching, R&D, consultancy, and project management. He has held research roles at TCS and Wipro and is PMP certified. Dr. Sharma holds a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur and has published extensively in IEEE journals and global conferences. His accolades include the PACE Fellowship (2019), POSOCO Power Systems Award (2015), and certifications in Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Finance.
